Steven Salzberg : “Let People Share DNA With a Click”

Professor Steven Salzberg wrote an opinion piece for Bloomberg Opinion on making human sequencing data fully public. Steven presses the National Institutes of Health to reconsider their policies on privacy in order to advance our knowledge of human health and disease. 

He points to George Church’s Personal Genome Project (PGP) at Harvard Medical School for its participants’ consent to open access of their data.

Salzberg is the Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science and Biostatistics, and the director of the Center for Computational Biology at Johns Hopkins University. Read the entire column at:
