The i2b2 tranSMART Foundation is a member-driven non-profit foundation developing an open-source / open-data community around the i2b2, tranSMART and OpenBEL translational research platforms.

Our Mission

The i2b2 tranSMART Foundation enables effective collaboration for precision medicine, through the sharing, integration, standardization and analysis of heterogenous data from healthcare and research; through engagement and mobilization of a life sciences focused open-source, open-data community.

What is i2b2 tranSMART?

A modular open source software platform for feasibility queries, exploration and analysis of clinical, translational and genomics data.

What makes it different?

Its flexible ontology-driven architecture and community developed plugins, APIs and user interfaces enable a variety of configurations to support the needs of data scientists, academic clinical investigators, and industry.

Where did i2b2 tranSMART come from?

It brings together an NIH-funded enterprise clinical research platform (i2b2) and pharma-developed software for translational research studies (tranSMART).
