Dave Dimond is the Chief Innovation Officer and a Distinguished Engineer for Dell Technologies Global Healthcare and Life Sciences business. Dave’s charter is to establish enduring customer and technical alliance partner collaborations to drive joint engineering, development, commercialization and delivery of data intensive cloud-based platforms for healthcare. He also leads new business development for healthcare human progress initiatives through a portfolio of unique platforms for social innovation.

Before joining Dell Technologies Dave was a strategic advisor to several healthcare ISVs, startups and investment banks while co-founding WhatNext, a social media platform for sharing patient experience aligned with the American Cancer Society and philanthropic organizations. Prior to this, he was the Senior Vice President of Product Innovation at Technology Solutions Company where he founded new lines of business including their healthcare solutions group while incubating new imaging analytics product offerings.

Dave began his career in the healthcare industry at First Consulting Group where he became a Partner and served as a Vice President, a Technical Master V and a National Practice Director.

Dave has authored numerous articles, technical papers, book chapters and technology courses during his extensive career. He has an MS in Engineering Management from Northeastern University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts. He has served as an Adjunct Faculty member of the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College in the MBA program with a focus on Healthcare Technology and Analytics. Dave served as Chairman of the Advisory Board for the Health Delivery Institute at WPI and has recently been appointed to the Board of Directors of the i2b2TranSMART Foundation.

Dave is leading a Dell Technologies GenNext Employee Resource Group initiative to develop tools and novel methods for mass mentoring of diverse and young-in-career employees and is also a workshop developer for Women in Action.
