Those of you fortunate enough to have been at the i2b2 tranSMART Foundation Annual Meeting at UC San Diego October 2016 got to meet Dr Larry Smarr in his data cave!  Our meeting was held in the adjacent auditorium and we joined Larry in the data cave to see all the incredible data that he had been collecting on the bacteria living in his gut.  He had to leave our meeting early to have one of the many MRIs as he prepared for surgery.  You can see that presentation on our website or YouTube channel LINK.

Since then, he has had his surgery and his story has been captured on this short video.  It is an incredible story of what is truly one of the first real life examples of precision medicine!!  See this amazing video HERE.
